Cincinnati, OH (Profitable.com) Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS), today announced its professional mat program is now available for retailers. A recent Harris Interactive survey revealed dirty floors negatively impact 86 percent of U.S. adults’ perception of a retail store, so Cintas has designed a customized mat program for retailers to maintain safe, clean and attractive floors. To reduce slips, trips and falls, all of Cintas’ rental mats are certified “High Traction” by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI).
“Studies show that shoppers pay attention to the floors in a retail establishment and that dirty floors negatively impact their perception of the store,” said Mike Thompson, Senior Vice President, Cintas Facility Services. “Cintas’ mat program is customized to ensure retailers maintain a safe environment while elevating their brand’s image.”
The cost-effective matting program provides retailers with two options that can be combined to meet the changing needs of any retail facility:
- Rental. Cintas provides retailers with NFSI-certified mats to protect floors from contaminants by capturing them before they hit the ground. On a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, trained Cintas employees remove the contaminants by replacing soiled mats with professionally cleaned mats. With flexible scheduling, this provides the best solution for retailers with changing needs and busy stores.
- Direct Purchase. To provide a solution for areas that require mats larger than standard rental sizes or custom sizes and shapes, Cintas offers a direct purchase option. Retailers can also customize specific solutions for areas surrounding revolving doors and entryways with custom installation of quality mats that are directly installed into the ground.
In addition to traditional walk-off matting, Cintas’ retail mat program offers several solutions designed to directly benefit the unique needs of retail facilities. Scraper mats act as a first line of defense and capture dirt, debris and particulates before they enter the facility to keep entrance zones clean and safe. In addition, anti-fatigue mats reduce discomfort for employees who stand for long periods at a time to increase productivity and employee satisfaction.
“We are proud to offer retailers with a viable way to stay competitive,” said Richard Doggett, Sr. Director of Strategic Markets, Cintas. “With flexible purchasing options and programs available, retailers are armed with the tools to develop a mat program that is aesthetically pleasing, affordable and creates a safe environment to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
